LaKetha Walker Holmes
LaKetha was born on Fort Gordon, GA, the daughter of Allen and Patty Walker, two Army veterans. She attended High School in Seaside, California and went on to attend University of the Pacific, located in Stockton, CA, where she obtained a B.A. in Political Science in 2003. After graduating, LaKetha began a career with HSBC, working for the Office of the President and traveling on behalf of the company in court.
In 2006, LaKetha began law school at Southern University Law Center, located in Baton Rouge, LA. While in school, LaKetha and Bobby met and fell in love. By 2009, the two were married and beginning a family. LaKetha’s first legal job was as the first law clerk in Beauregard Parish Louisiana, employed by Judges Martha A. O’Neal and C. Kerry Anderson. Following her law clerkship, she went on to practice as a Children’s Attorney; an Assistant District Attorney, specializing in Juvenile law for Beauregard Parish; and an Assistant District Attorney for Calcasieu Parish, specializing in severe child abuse and sex crime prosecution. Thereafter, Laketha began her defense work with the office of Todd S. Clemons where she concentrated in criminal defense and civil litigation.
LaKetha is the mom of a daughter, Taylor and a son, Peyton. She resides in Moss Bluff with her family.
LaKetha is an active member in the Junior League of Lake Charles since 2014 and she is a member of the SWLA Interested Mothers (provisional member of Jack and Jill). She attends and is a member of Greater St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church and, in her free time, enjoys baking, listening to pod-casts, playing board games and of course… lots and lots of coffee drinking.
